The leaves have begun looking a little yellow and a few have begun their fall. Autumn is well a truly starting, and with it comes the first S.A.S.H of the new season, and the sudden realisation that we are already 25% of the way through the year of 2024.
To kick things into gear, our dearly beloved Bligs makes a return to the SASH By Day Terrace, this time taking out top honours and billing in the bold print for the evening. Don of all things deep and housey, Bligsy’s recently turned every young DJs dream into a reality, giving up his day-to-day 9-5 to pursue music full time. Devoting himself to delving deep into his hardware during the day, and perusing the perils of processing by night, we’re excited to see what fresh funk the boy has cooked up.
Joining Bligs in the Watson’s EQ Courtyard for the afternoon, Peter Brongo takes a step up to the late afternoon slot. Consistently delivering whenever called upon, Peter has become one of the more reliable DJs to make his mark on Sydney. Getting the afternoon into the groove, G.onza is back on board after impressing with one of the best opening sets during Igloo Season last year. Once a familiar face, but long overdue for a catchup, sim maree is in the get the afternoon off to its first roll, spinning the low-slung, well-hung, disco / deep house grooves.
By Night we welcome back Parker, the creative mind behind the well-respected Doozie Records and his Parker and Friends party brand. He has been given full freedom to take the reins and guide party-goers into the new day and well into early hours of the morning, once he decides to scurry out of the dark depths of the studio of course. The UK-born geezer is best known for his rolling, peak-time blend of high energy grooves, backed up with bone shaking bass-lines. Now a household name in his own right, Parker is a go-to by everyone who enjoys a 2step.
Frans b2b André Müller combine to take the night to a close after PARKER is done dishing out some damage. A blend of deeper cuts and techy struts, this pairing poses a powerful threat to those wanting an early night’s sleep. Illicit, explicit, the boy is - Symplicit Sounds - makes his SASH By Night debut to limber our limbs and ready us to rumble. He’ll be settling in to set us into the groove from 10pm.
